Create an 8 Page Zine Using a Single Letter Size Paper

What is a zine?

Zines are self-published, small circulation original works, usually in booklet form. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and topics. They are a fun and accessible creative media suitable for all ages.

This video will show you how to make a simple and cheap 8-page zine using a single piece of paper. I used a letter sized paper (8.5” x 11”), but you can use any rectangular shaped paper.

What you’ll need:

• a piece of paper (or download and use the Zine Guide* I used in the video)

• scissors (or a cutting blade and ruler)

*NOTE: When printing the guide, I used Adobe Acrobat Reader, with a Borderless print setting (Epson ET-2760 and a MacBook Pro), and I had to scale it down to 98%.

You may have to adjust your own printer/software settings to get it to print to the edge.
